Have fun reading this. :D

Today was the day the Sigil Knights would raid a base, harboring many dangerous criminals. It was also a rescue mission, one of their Dragon Sages was kidnapped and taken for ransom. The air was grim and anxious, the last time they had performed a raid half of their forces were slaughtered in an ambush. To make matters worse, a Captain who hadn’t had any raid experience was leading them in this charge. The only thing he had was that he had pulled Solan’s Sword from within the Tundra.

“We’ll be off very soon. Prepare your oils and supplies.”

Captain Jackal barked orders from the podium, he watched as the 30 Knights prepared their supplies. It was imperative that they had their oils correct, it would make their charges stronger, depending on which oil they decided to apply. After Captain Jackal made sure they had everything correct he would begin the trek. They were to go through the Tundra and climb the wall to ambush the hideout from above.

“Follow my lead! Board your horses! Charge!”

In a tumult of hooves and armor clanking the Knights were off. The group weaved through Royal Woods on their way to Oresfall in order to enter the Tundra. On their way they met a shady figure, dawned in a pitch black cloak and a ghoulish mask.

THRUMP!

One of the Knights cut off the man from upon their horse.

“You. What are you doing here?”

The Knight inquired. The man looked up, his facial features exposed. His body was colored red, a third eye lay closed upon his forehead. The man stayed silent, before running from the Knight.

“Hey!”

The Knight shouted out, hand outstretched towards the Dzin.

“He’s a criminal! He is responsible for the death of the mayor of Alana!”

The Knight shouted and began to charge after the man. Just then Jackal, on his Horse blew past them stopping them dead in their tracks. He quickly offed himself from his horse and drew his blade.

“Stand down! Criminal!”

Captain Jackal shouted at the Dzin. The Dzin drew a mythril dagger from his side and brandished it threateningly trying to make distance from him and the Captain.

“I see, scum.”

Captain Jackal’s sword burst with electricity as he dashed forwards, cutting into the criminal. Captain Jackal continued with a swift shoulder bash and three slices with his sword, before igniting his sword with white flames and cutting into the Dzin three more times.

“AGHH!”

The Dzin screamed out in agony as he began patting himself, trying to put out the flames.

“Had enough? You’re coming with me.”

With one swift pommel strike the Dzin fell unconscious. The Knights cheered, happy that they had taken a hardened criminal out of Gaia, and the fact that they had gotten to see Jackal in action was great too. Captain Jackal tied the Dzin up before hauling him on the back of his horse.

“Let's keep going, men. We’ll turn this man into the Orsefall Bounty Hunter.”

Like that, the army moved forwards. It was about three hours before they had reached the great city of Oresfall. The men got off their horses and fed them, before sending them off, back to where they came.

“The Tundra is dangerous, not all of you have been. While we are there, we will pick up a special helmet. This helmet is only made for those who are good, and orderly. Stay close to me while we’re there. The snow will make it easy to get lost in the bitter wasteland.”

Captain Jackal was about to walk up the steps before he remembered something,

“Also, be wary of the Howlers.”

Soon the group made their way into Oresfall, greeting civilians as they passed. Deep into the city a great commotion could be heard. Captain Jackal stopped the army as he walked forwards, trying to see what was going on. There, he saw it.

“STAND BACK! CIVILIANS!”

Captain Jackal shouted loudly as he drew his blade from it's sacred scabbard. Captain Jackal’s sword burst into the same holy white flames used on the criminal prior. He surged forwards, sword ready to strike it's target into utter oblivion. His target was a Faceless One.

“A Sigil Knight of the Holy Lands?”

The Faceless One remarked as he removed his dagger from a woman’s chest, leaving her bloodied body lying on the ground.

Swf!!

Suddenly, nine daggers came flying forwards, Commander Jackal taken by surprise had two daggers lodged into his stomach, piercing through his armor. Then, the Faceless One appeared before Jackal, as if he teleported through the dagger.

“This..will hurt.”

The Faceless One chuckled as he spoke. He thrust his dagger forwards, into Jackal’s chest, flinging him backwards 20 feet before he skidded to a stop. Captain Jackal took labored breaths as he clutched his chest. The daggers previously lodged in him were poisoned, and it was getting to him. He knew he needed to wrap the fight up quickly.

“That...was a dirty move! I guess I should get some payback?”

Captain Jackal remarked as he called in the Knights to his aid. Like a stampede of animals the Knights came charging at the Faceless One, swords drawn and ready for blood.

“Oh. Oh dear.”

The Faceless One, knowing he couldn’t get out of this one, decided to fight back.

He ran forwards into the formation of Knights and threw his dagger high before catching it. Instantly, all around him, a flurry of cuts and slashes dawned on the Knights. The Faceless One rolled backwards before throwing three daggers forwards, wounding some of the Knights in the front.
